Contactless power transmission offered an innovative alternative to conventional plug connections, as it was fully automated and worked without mechanical wear. This eliminated the need for time-consuming and costly maintenance work, increased the service life and reduced downtimes. This technology also opened up new possibilities for automation and process optimization.
With FreeCon Contactless, Weidmüller has provided a high-performance solution that has been specially developed for industrial applications. Thanks to the optimized inductive resonance coupling technology and innovative thermal management, the system was able to transmit up to 240 watts with an efficiency of up to 93 percent.
