To connect a smart device with Weidmüller easyConnect, first create a new virtual device and edit relevant information in the Device Management. Receive a unique activation code for your device by adding the Weidmüller IIoT Connector.
Then connect your device with the cloud, by inserting the activation code in the device’s user interface. The IIoT Connector itself can be installed through the Add-on Manager.
To establish a remote connection, first download the u-link PC Client. The client can be activated with a code provided in the Remote Access service. Create another activation code for your device by adding the Weidmüller u-link Connector in the Device Management. Now you are ready to open your first secure VPN connection from the Remote Access (u-link) Service.
Make sure the IIoT Connector is activated on your device. Configure your IIoT telemetry on the u-control, using the Telemetry App. The app can be easily installed using the Add-on Manager. Explore your telemetry data with the Data Point Overview and build your first live dashboards and charts, using easyConnect Data Visualisation.
Want to use your telemetry data to create, validate and export your own machine learning models with ModelBuilder? Then simply follow this step-by-step guide:
